Mirroring Resilience

Mirroring Resilience Artist Intensive was a three-month journey with Artist in Residence Edgar Fabián Frías, and co-facilitated by five artists and educators (Jesse Fleming, Saewon Oh, Yunuen Rhi, Asher Hartman, Mariel Pastor) at La Maida Institute in North Hollywood, CA.
Funded by a grant from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, 20 local artists were selected to participate in workshops exploring self-growth, mindfulness, risk-taking, cross-disciplinary creativity, and the potential found within emergent systems.
This artist intensive was an experiential journey for its participants, resulting in an exhibition and public performance for the community on the Fall Equinox, September 22nd.
A once in a lifetime opportunity to work with some of Los Angeles’ most influential creatives and critical thinkers, and a unique chance to learn within the context of a group and produce something new as an artist.
